California Civil Rights Foundation's Media Release on Amendment 62

MEDIA ADVISORY

For Immediate Release

Union City, California (Wednesday, November
3rd, 2010) – Colorado Amendment 62 Defeated.

Walter Hoye, Founder and President of the California Civil Rights Foundation, responds to the recent defeat of Colorado’s Amendment 62.

“So pure and powerful is the question of the ‘identity of humanity’ that I bow before our Lord in abject humility understanding that the morality of the 21st Century will depend on how we answer this profound question. The zero-sum activity of winning or losing at the ballot pales in comparison to pondering the profound question Personhood poses. Promoting
Personhood in the public square is always a win because ears will have heard and minds will have been challenged with a truth that remains largely hidden in the darkness that now engulfs our country and even our world. Precisely because Personhood
prompts the discussion of what it means to be created in the image of God, in a society that lives with legalized abortion on demand and the murder of over 53 million of her children, she always presents a victory for humanity.”

Hoye goes on to echo the words of Theodore Parker, a reforming American minister of the Unitarian Church, an Abolitionist, and a Transcendentalist who in his 1853 "Of Justice and the Conscience" said:

"I do not pretend to understand the moral universe; the arc is a long one, my eye reaches but little ways; [While] I cannot calculate the curve and complete the figure by the experience of sight. I can divine it by conscience. And from what I
see, I am sure it bends towards justice."

Amen Mr. Parker.

Personhood is what the Pro-Life movement looks like victorious.

Change?
juda myers 11.4.2010

Well we saw change November 2, 2010. When people actually get up and do something, things do change. There is a silent majority that seems to hold everything inside until they can’t take it any longer. But what if people continually did what is right and made an effort to keep this country as the founders intended – as God intended?

The sign above is what anti Personhood people held. These people are against people like me because I was conceived in rape. They use my situation as an excuse to kill. Next time I want to gather a huge crowd of people conceived in rape to stand there with signs that ask if we deserve the death penalty for the crime of our fathers.
